This is a really interesting game for sure and I was really getting into the game when the demo ended. I'll be keeping an eye out for your game for sure.
Really good demo of what seems to be a really good game! Honestly the only problem is that is too short, the lore seems to be very well thought and is really interesting I wish I could see more of what the game is like in the demo.
Also maybe make the controls a little more like ARROW KEYS + ZXC or something.

i loved it! and this may sound out of the blue but quick spoiler for the demo ending
when the test subject got shot i just went "DID YOU JUST SHOOT ME?" and it was an unexpected plot twist!

Yes, the demo is really short but tries to hook like you said. It could even be called a teaser demo. Just like Kojima's P.T. :^)
As for controls - ill think what could be done with it
